lyrics
Hear all the words, hollow in the citadel
Hear all the words, poisoned and vain.
These are our kind, groomed for command and control
Drawbridge up, don't look down, arrows loosed, there's so much fear in the walled town
They came the wrong way, they're in the wrong place...
See the long lines, swathes on the blistered roads
See the long lines snaking their way.
See the closed eyes at the shouts and the howls and the tears
Collars up, eyes down, dollars saved, there's no room at the lost and found,
You came the wrong way and you're in the wrong place
You can't pay your dues and. you've got the wrong face
So walk on.
See the camp fires, glow in the scarred fields
See the camp fires smouldering down.
See the frost breath at the shivered rise of dawn
Miles dragged, feet sore, cold now, hope burned but the fire's no more
You came the wrong way and your in the wrong place
We can't take you here we've got no more space
We're at breaking point...
Needing a sign is like you're finding a new way of life
If you need a sign, then you're already gone
Deceiving yourself that you don't know what's right and what's wrong
Miles dragged, feet sore, cold now, hope burned but the fire's no more
You came the wrong way and your in the wrong place
We can't take you here we've got no more space
Easy now, backs turned, buried heads, the same mistakes you never learned
This is the wrong way, it's not the wrong place
She's paid your dues but you can't look in her face

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

The first official outing of the "what would be" Steve Rothery Band. Riccardo Romano was missing with his keyboard wizardry and no singer at all (later Martin Jakubsky of Stillmarillion). Marillion's catalogue was represented by excerpts of instrumental sections where Steve had his solo spot. This is a milestone in the forming of a great band that later became the spokesman of early Marillion era and of course of Steve's solo material. If you want to hear how it all started you have to get this Alessandro Carmassi
Sustained by seismic psych riffs, proggy shifts, and vivid sci-fi storytelling, these Milwaukee cosmonauts command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 29, 2023
The Long Island metal band's third album etches arena-sized hooks into their jagged compositions, deftly balancing experimental and poppy inclinations. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 12, 2022
Throwing mathcore, emo, and ambient into the mix, Estonia's Kaschalot push progressive rock's multitasking approach to its limits. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 10, 2021

I didn't think I would like this record but it's so infectious in its ability to change from prog to post rock then to psychedelic and onwards into alternative metal. Such an amazing feat to introduce the saxophone and it sounds so cool, this record is outstanding. Darknight
